The 10th annual Fostoria Rail Festival will be held Saturday, September 25, 2009 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Fostoria Middle School.

A panel of professional photographers will do the judging.  Photo Contest winners will be announced at the Festival.

Advertising: Sqap meets/train shows, radio, newspaper, railroad magazines, flyers & Internet

Set-up - Friday 5-9 pm & Saturday 7-9:30 am.  No tear down before 4 pm.  All exhibits on ground floor level.

Handicapped accessible. No pets. Sale of food by dealers prohibited.  Free coffee & doughnuts provided until 9:30 am.

All table rental payments MUST be made prior to exhibit set-up. Confirmation letter & train show infomation to be mailed

upon receiving table registration.  Dealers & individuals attending the train show accept full responsibility for any injury or loss and

expressly release the Fostoria Rail Preservation Society & Fostoria Rail Festival from all liability.

RULES

Open to all amateur & professional photographers

1. Entries must be submitted along with the Official Entry Form. Each Entry Form may contain up to two (2) photographs and must be accompanied by a non-refundable $10 Entry Fee for each photo.  Additional photos may be entered with a separate Entry Form.  NOTE: Check or Money Orders to be made payable to the Fostoria Rail Preservation Society.

2. Unaltered Photos in black-and-white or color (no slides or mixed media accepted); up to 8 x 10 inches; must be mounted for display (no frames, please).

3. All photos must have the name and address of photographer on the back of the photo, and also indicate the location in Fostoria, Ohio where the photo was taken.

4. Selection Criteria: Appropriateness of Fostoria train heritage, creativity and overall technical quality.  Judging decisions are final. Photos depicting a train may be preferred to architecture and/ or settings.

5. Winners Announced: during the Fostoria Railroad Festival.  (Winner will also be notified in writing.)

6. All submitted photos become the property of The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society (FRPS).  The FRPS has the right to publish and use for advertising all photographs.  Credit lines will be given to the photographer whenever possible.
